Counselling and psycho-educational programming is provided to youth who have witnessed or been involved in family violence. This program seeks to mitigate the negative effects of family related trauma. Youth learn positive coping strategies, communication skills, and techniques to reduce risk of repeating learned behavior from witnessing violence. This program guides youth in examining their personal belief system and connecting it to their behaviors. Youth also have the opportunity to participate in safety planning, if necessary. This program is offered through one-on one counselling.
