Our organization has a strong history of helping individuals and families who are at risk of, or who have come into conflict with the law.
COVID-19 – Information for clients and visitors
The health of our staff, volunteers, clients and community is our number one priority. We are closely following the advice of public health agencies and continue to monitor the evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19. The John Howard Society of London and District (the Society) is open for service. Our staff are working from home and in the office. Our programs continue to operate via telephone appointment and other modified methods. The Society has recently moved to limited “in-person services” where appointments are scheduled with clients at the office. We are ensuring that our agency is a safe environment by taking the following steps:
We are taking several steps to ensure the safety of our agency environment as we continue to deliver the best possible experience to our clients and staff. Specifically:
- Asking individuals who access the buildings to stay home if they are feeling unwell
- Actively screening clients and visitors for COVID-19
- Using proper PPE and plexiglass barriers during meetings
- Providing face masks and hand sanitizer to all individuals who access the buildings
- Cleaning all surfaces of the entire agency regularly along with high-touch surfaces that will be cleaned more frequently
