The John Howard Society Sarnia Lambton is a not-for-profit, charitable organization providing a broad range of evidence-based and outcome-driven community services in Sarnia-Lambton. Our organization has a strong history of helping individuals and families who are at risk of, or who have come into conflict with the law. Our work includes the provision of prevention and intervention services as well as advocacy, public education, and community partnerships.

Our diverse client group includes youth and adults, males and females, from a wide cross section of social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds represented in our community.

Sudbury Shelter Closing – Could be a Big Mistake – CBC Morning North
March 15, 2019 - The new life centre closing in Sudbury means a loss of 22 beds for men needing emergency shelter. The John Howard Society says no city should be without an emergency shelter. He focuses on how inmates who are released from jail often don’t have anywhere to go, so they end up in the shelter until they get back on their feet.
