The JHS has many opportunities for you to volunteer. All volunteers will be provided with training and supports as you embark on your volunteer experience with us.
Youth Justice Committe
Co-facilitating a Restorative Circle when a young person has committed a minor offence.
Community Mediation Program
Co-facilitating a mediation process for adult neighbours in conflict. Volunteers are trained to the Ontario Community Mediation Coalition (OCMC) standards and receive ongoing mentorship & training.
Aspire Program
Mentorship supporting young adults, aged 17 – 25, to achieve their training and employment goals. Our mentorship program includes a variety of opportunities including individual, group, short and long term mentoring matches. We are currently recruiting volunteers with a variety of backgrounds and work experience. Full training is provided as well as many other opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Parent Education
We are looking for experienced parents who have attended our Sidestepping the Power Struggle workshop and are interested in supporting the discussion for the small breakout groups.
