June 21, 2025 - Mindset, our anger management program, utilizes techniques based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help increase your capacity to better understand and manage your anger and emotional responses in a more constructive and positive manner. This program can help to improve your self-regulation and self-management skills to help reduce the intensity, frequency and duration of your anger and subsequently, help support the end of any patterns of aggression. This program is ideal for those 18 years and older. This is a fee-for-service program, with fees based upon one’s income and individual circumstances.

This ten session program has been developed to allow participants to understand and to deal with their anger problems. The program is based on behaviour modification and awareness, and helps participants to understand anger as an emotion, develop an awareness of negative and non-productive anger management styles, and to learn productive and positive anger management techniques. It deals with subjects such as self-esteem, co-dependency, healthy/abusive relationships, stress management, family violence, drugs and alcohol, parenting skills, personal finance, community resources, and community integration. June 21, 2025 - There are only 50 Youth in Transition Worker positions in Ontario and they serve transitional aged youth coming out of the child welfare system who may or may not be justice sector involved. This program was launched in 2014. JHSWW completed for a contract to provide the program and is pleased to have been selected to deliver the program. JHSWW was one of the first agencies to have it up and running.
