Anger Management Services
June 21, 2025 - This intensive psycho-educational group program is for men who want to acquire new skills for managing and communicating their anger. Referrals are accepted to meet supervisory orders, such as bail, probation and parole. Referrals from EAP and/or employers are also accepted. Self-referrals are always welcome! Mental Health and Addictions Peer Supports (MAPS) Program
June 21, 2025 - The MAPS Program is staffed by Peer Support Workers, who are individuals with lived experience, and will work with clients one-on-one to explore recovery goals and identify ways in which clients can feel more connected with community supports. By sharing their related experiences with the client, Peer Support Workers will establish rapport, trust and mutual understanding, and work together to develop harm reduction plans. Community Aftercare
June 21, 2025 - This program is offered at JHSWW Kitchener, Cambridge and Guelph offices. It provides assistance to people wishing to re-integrate into the community successfully. The aftercare program provides referrals to community resources such as social assistance, employment services, housing registries, food banks, mental health services and addiction treatment programs. The JHSWW Aftercare Coordinator provides one to one counselling, utilizing a cognitive-behavioural approach to alleviate criminogenic thinking and support clients with pro-social goals. Participation is voluntary. Funding is provided by local United Ways. The Program also includes assistant with records suspensions and US Waivers for a fee. Partner Assault Response Program (PAR)
June 21, 2025 - Treatment services are available to men who have been mandated due to domestic assault charges to attend this program. All referrals are made through court and probation. To determine eligibility and specific counselling needs men are scheduled an assessment/orientation session. This program is offered 6 days per week Monday to Saturday. Group sessions are conducted throughout Toronto to ensure accessibility for participants. The partners of the men in the PAR program are provided with support including safety planning and information on relevant community resources. Anger Management Substance Abuse Community Justice Program (ASAP)
