John Howard Society of York Region

Volunteers

The John Howard Society has a rich history of working with volunteers in the provision of effective programs and services to those at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system, those involved in the system, and those re-entering communities on release from custody. Volunteers are an essential component of our organization.

At John Howard Society of York Region, volunteers may aid with any of our programs or may assist with the day-to-day operations of our office. The safety and comfort of our volunteers is of utmost importance to us and we will never place anyone in a situation where they do not feel comfortable. Let us know what you are interested in and we will do our best to provide the environment in which you will feel most comfortable and valuable in your contribution.

Volunteers are an important part of the operation of the John Howard Society. It is important to ensure that each person who is designated as being a volunteer be one who will properly represent the Society in the community and with our clients.
