JHS York Region works to promote community safety and well-being in York Region.

In neighbourhoods and schools throughout the region, we offer programs that are proven to reduce crime and build protective factors in people’s lives.

Our programs help people develop life, relationship and coping skills, and are offered to residents of all ages, regardless of whether or not they have been involved in the justice system.

Last year we supported 2,755 new individuals through our 8 different programs and services. Our communities are reflected by the way we confront crime. So our response must be effective. Because when the system is effective, it costs us less and provides us more. It lets us break free of the vicious cycle of re-offense. It helps us heal and grow resilient.

We welcome your feedback and any questions you may have and we encourage you to visit frequently for updates.
