Assistance offered is Resource and Information, Client Service Planning and Coordinator, Job Matching and Placement Incentives, Second Career, Targeted Initiative for Older Workers, Ontario Works – Kitchen Prep, Canada-Ontario Job Grant, and Ontario Works –Starting towards Employment Program.
We offer seminars, skill building workshops, training, certification opportunities and job search expertise to people of all ages, at no cost. Participants are provided with several provincially recognized certifications including Food Safety, Smart Serve, Service Excellence, and Worker health and Safety Awareness. Intermittent Community Work Program (ICWP)
June 21, 2025 - Open to men 18+. Subcontracted through Operation Springboard. Intakes are completed at local institutions and forwarded to JHS staff through Springboard. Community work placements are set up for each participant, taking into consideration potential transportation barriers. The John Howard Society’s workers provide information on our services and programs as well as the criminal justice system and its impact on individuals and the community.
