June 21, 2025 - The DAAP program will provide awareness and reintegration planning to clients who have identified substance use issues and have expressed a desire to work towards making personal changes. An institutional worker from John Howard Society Toronto will facilitate DAAP programming at TSDC to assist those who are seeking help and developing supports related to substance use concerns. DAP (Direct Accountability Program)
June 21, 2025 - This program provides adults charged with mostly minor first time criminal offence(s) with an alternative to the formal court process. Individuals charged are still held accountable for their actions by completing community based sanctions. Upon successfully satisfying the program, through the options of charitable donations, volunteer community work, participating in workshops or programs, the charge(s) against the individual are withdrawn by the court. SNAP-YJ-12 Session Module
June 21, 2025 - This program is for males between the ages of 12 and 17 who are involved in the Youth Justice System. The SNAP strategy involves learning to identify physiological responses and emotional triggers, calm your body and challenge cognitive distortions/thinking errors replacing with coping statements, in order to move forward and explore socially appropriate solutions/plans. North Simcoe Attendance Centre
June 21, 2025 - The Attendance Centre staff will complete an individual assessment for each young person at intake to assess static and dynamic risk factors for recidivism as well as strengths and protective factors in the young person’s community, family and self. The assessment tool is the Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (YLS/CMI). The Probation Officer will also provide a copy of the Risk/Needs Assessment as well as any other relevant information concerning the client. Adult Community Service Order Program (CSO)
June 21, 2025 - This program is offered on site at our Barrie and Orillia offices, 35 hours each week. This program is operated by JHS for the following Probation and Parole Offices: Barrie, Alliston, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, and Huntsville. It is open to men and women, ages 18 and up, on probation with a condition to complete Community Service Hours. The goal of the program is to provide a meaningful and appropriate placement opportunity for the participant so that s/he and the agency can benefit from the community service work completed.
