CSI (Counselling, Support, and Intervention)
June 21, 2025 - The Counselling, Support, and Intervention Program provides individualized supportive counselling to participants of the Direct Accountability Program. Referrals are accepted from the Community Justice Worker only. This program is for individuals who have been identified as benefiting from one-to-one support. Institutional Services
June 21, 2025 - This program operates in four local detention centres (the East Detention Centre, and Toronto South Detention Centre). JHS staff and volunteers provide individual pre-release planning and referrals based on individual treatment needs and goals. Group sessions are provided at the Toronto Jail on Drug Awareness and harm reduction education. All participation is voluntary. Partner Assault Response Program (PAR) – Domestic Violence Court & Probation Referrals
June 21, 2025 - This service is provided to Probation and Domestic Violence Courts to process referrals for PAR Programs in Toronto. All referrals to the PAR program come through Probation or the Domestic Violence Courts. There are no self-referrals to the PAR program. June 21, 2025 - The Mailbag program is designed for people who are in jail with little or no family or community support on the outside, and would like the opportunity for contact in platonic correspondence. June 21, 2025 - The Community Reintegration Worker is able to facilitate access to specialized community based programs and prevention services that facilitate healthy and positive reintegration in to the community. This is applicable for those individuals who are incarcerated and anticipating release, and vulnerable individuals in the community who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, and or who may require additional and unique community supports. After completing a brief assessment to determine ones’ acuity, needs and establish goals, the worker can connect individuals to various resources including the agency’s current programs and services.
