Advocacy Service

This service has been provided since the agency’s inception in 1949 and is currently offered when time permits on an ad hoc basis. Available to all members of the community as a preventive program, though generally utilized by former prisoners and/or their families, it allows for staff at JHS to provide their expertise and resources to advocate on a clients’ behalf. Individuals are assisted to meet their immediate needs and to be supported in accessing their rights as community members. This is a non-funded program.
