Adult Community Service Order Program (CSO)

This program is offered on site at our Barrie and Orillia offices, 35 hours each week. This program is operated by JHS for the following Probation and Parole Offices: Barrie, Alliston, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, and Huntsville. It is open to men and women, ages 18 and up, on probation with a condition to complete Community Service Hours. The goal of the program is to provide a meaningful and appropriate placement opportunity for the participant so that s/he and the agency can benefit from the community service work completed. All participants complete an intake assessment prior to being placed. All services are provided on a one to one basis and all participants are mandated by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Probation and Parole Services. Funding for this program is provided by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services on an annual basis.
