Work Boot Program

This program assists anyone in the community seeking employment and who is in need of work boots. These boots, provided at the St. Catharines’ office only, are used (steel-toed) and donated by the local General Motors plants. Individuals are often referred by local employment agencies as well as from other JHS programs. The main goal of the program is to eliminate one of the barriers to securing employment by providing proper footwear for the job. Access to these boots may be at any time during the regular 35 hour agency work week. Support and referrals to other services are offered as needed.
