Volunteer Probation Court Intake Program

Situated in the courthouse in St. Catharines, this program provides an intake, information, referral and scheduling service for the Youth Probation office in St. Catharines. The Volunteer Court Intake Worker meets with the client directly after sentencing and completes an intake with the client, including processing the court acknowledgement document and setting up a next reporting date with their probation officer. Clients are directly linked to their probation officer through this service and provided with clear reporting instructions. This program alleviates the drop in traffic to the probation office and facilitates a seamless delivery of service for the offender directly after court.
