Pre-charge Adult Diversion

This program is an alternative option to the traditional legal process. Police Services consider diversion as a viable option to laying formal charges in cases where harm can be reduced to the victim, community, and to the offender through alternative means. Restorative measures are determined and agreed upon, taking into account the offence, surrounding circumstances, involved parties, and precipitating risk factors. This is a fee for service program.
