Institutional Services

This program operates in four local detention centres (the East Detention Centre, and Toronto South Detention Centre). JHS staff and volunteers provide individual pre-release planning and referrals based on individual treatment needs and goals. Group sessions are provided at the Toronto Jail on Drug Awareness and harm reduction education. All participation is voluntary. Funding for these services is provided by the United Way, the City of Toronto and the John Howard Society of Ontario.
