Gang Prevention/Intervention Program (GPIP)

The Gang Prevention/Intervention Program (GPIP) is a partnership between the John Howard Society (JHS) of Ottawa and youturn Youth Support Services to address both the male and female pathways to involvement in gang-related crime through the provision of evidenced-based and gender responsive supports and services. By combining local data with research-based criminogenic risk factors linked to youth gang involvement, GPIP works to target youth (aged 12-20) in the City of Ottawa, Russell County and the City of Rockland.
