Extrajudicial Sanctions (EJS)

Sanctions are imposed on a young person as a post-charge diversion. Referrals are made by the Crown Attorney. The process is similar to Extra Judicial Measures (above) or, when appropriate, referred to the Youth Justice Committee/Restorative Justice Program. Funded by Ministry of Children and Youth Services, Youth Justice Branch.
