Job Description:

The John Howard Society of Toronto is a non-profit organization committed to providing and developing programs that reduce the social, economic, and personal costs of crime. The Society is dedicated to helping all people who have been in conflict with the law and individuals at imminent risk of coming into conflict with the law through service, education, and community
programs.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced volunteers to fulfil the following roles on the JHST Board of Directors:

Board Director (3 open positions) – With experience in one of the following areas:

• Corporate Communications (internal and/or external)
• Criminal Justice System
• Marketing
• Corporate Strategic Planning
• Human Resources Management and/or Union experience
•  Non-profit Housing

Board Treasurer (1 open position) – This role requires experience in Excel and
understanding financial reporting at a general level for an approximate $6 million
annual budget.
