A service that connects men released from the Toronto South Detention Centre in Etobicoke with housing, overdose prevention and peer support has gone from no location to two locations in the month after their lease expired.
mars 15, 2019 - The new life centre closing in Sudbury means a loss of 22 beds for men needing emergency shelter. The John Howard Society says no city should be without an emergency shelter. He focuses on how inmates who are released from jail often don’t have anywhere to go, so they end up in the shelter until they get back on their feet.
