John Howard Society of Belleville (JHSB) is seeking a peer worker to assist youth aged 16-29 who face personal and systemic barriers to employment. The Youth Peer Mentor is a peer worker that can relate with youth who may have shared lived experience, with a passion to help youth see the potential in themselves and take steps to be successful on their employment journey. The Employment Pathways (EP) program assists youth with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) from a trauma-sensitive perspective. This position is to service Belleville and the nearby surrounding area, located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee people.
