Youth Court Support

Staff attends court on a weekly basis in order to assist both the young person and their family in a variety of ways. These include: accessing Duty Counsel, understanding the court schedule and legal process, accessing a defense lawyer, informing on the changes in legislation (YCJA), program information about the services of the JHS and other community resources. Funding for this program is provided by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services, Youth Justice Branch.
