DAP – Direct Accountability Program

This program provides adults charged with mostly minor first time criminal offence(s) with an alternative to the formal court process. Individuals charged are still held accountable for their actions by completing community based sanctions. Upon successfully satisfying the program, through the options of charitable donations, volunteer community work, participating in workshops or programs, the charge(s) against the individual are withdrawn by the court. We offer this service at the Metro North Courthouse and the Metro West Provincial Court. You can access this service by requesting information at both of these courts or by contacting:

A.S.A.P – Anger Substance Abuse Program – Court Referrals

Referrals for this program are made through Court Services only from the Community Justice Programs. Individuals are provided counselling for substance abuse and anger management. This program assists individuals by addressing both of these issues by identifying triggers for each and steps to take towards implementing prevention strategies.

C.S.I. Program (Counselling, Support, and Intervention)

The Counselling, Support, and Intervention Program provides individualized supportive counselling to participants of the Direct Accountability Program. Referrals are accepted from the Community Justice Worker only. This program is for individuals who have been identified as benefiting from one-to-one support. The Program involves completing up to three (3) one (1) hour individual sessions during which participants receive immediate crisis support and referrals.
